Develop your engagement skills by embarking on the introductory Motivational Interviewing Course delivered by Anthony Gatt, Counselling Psychologist. This course is specifically designed for programme facilitators, social support workers, and key workers in both residential and non-residential helping environments. This 15-hour course is spread over five engaging sessions in July 2024. Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered counselling style to help clients effectively explore and resolve ambivalence about behaviours resistant to change. Held at the Caritas Community Centre penthouse, each session from 9:00am to 12:30pm promises a supportive space for growth and skill development. Join us for this invaluable opportunity to enhance your helping skills and make a meaningful impact in your community for a contribution of €180. Together, let’s empower change and foster resilience.

Motivational Interviewing is based on 4 core principles; expressing empathy, developing discrepancy, rolling with resistance and supporting self-efficacy.
