Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association:   Member’s Meeting 

Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association would like to inform the general public that it’s bimonthly meeting will be held on Friday 14th September, 2018 at 6.00 p.m. at Caritas Malta, 5, Lion Street, Floriana.

A talk will be delivered by Ms. Yanika Abela on a dissertation she wrote entitled “Living with Epilepsy: Exploring the issue of stigma and the illness experience in everyday life.” Ms Abela, is a BA (Hons) Sociology graduate, and obtained a Second Upper Degree. In her dissertation, she focused on the illness experience of individuals who have epilepsy, and whether as a result of their condition, they have experienced any form of social stigma.  In her talk she will also discuss her findings, quality of life of persons with epilepsy together with challenges and limitations.

Persons with epilepsy, their families and friends are urged to attend this informative meeting. Everything said and discussed during our meetings will remain strictly confidential. May we also remind you that our next meeting will be held on Friday, 9th November, 2018.
