Enhancing Quality of Life in Epilepsy

National Conference of the Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association

In conjunction with the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of Malta.

Event Information

Location: Caritas Community Centre, Triq Mountbatten, Hamrun.

Opening Address: HE Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta.

Featured Speakers: Prof Gus Baker (University of Liverpool, UK and Secretary General International Bureau for Epilepsy), alongside distinguished local speakers.

This conference will highlight practical aspects of how the quality of life can be enhanced in persons with epilepsy and their relatives. There are over 4,000 persons diagnosed with epilepsy in Malta and Gozo. As a condition that is often hidden, it requires varying medical and support services and can greatly affect social and personal life.

This event is of specific interest to:

  • Persons with epilepsy and their families
  • Educators, teachers, and LSEs
  • Health care professionals and students (doctors, pharmacists, nurses, etc.)

Registration and Payment

The cost is €30 per person, which includes lunch and coffee breaks. Please complete the registration form and send payment by 1st March 2026. Places are limited.

  • Cheque: Payable to "Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association." Enclose a copy of the registration form. Payment due within 5 working days of registration.
  • Cash: Enclose €30 with the registration form in a closed envelope. Payment due within 5 working days of registration.
